Kent Sherwood graduated from high school in Elko, Nevada and attended the University of Nevada in Reno where he received his bachelor in science in pre-physical therapy. He earned his master’s degree in Physical Therapy at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1995. Kent and his wife Kati founded Sheridan Physical Therapy in 1995. They opened an outpatient sister clinic in Buffalo WY in 2004. Kent enjoys spending time with his wife and three dogs. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing and cruising around the Black Hills on his motorcycle with friends.

What’s the best success story you can share from your tenure at Sheridan Physical Therapy?

There are literally thousands of success stories rehab related since 1995. Nearly every day someone comes up to me from the community thanking Sheridan Physical Therapy for our service. That, plus all the friends and families I have personal relationships with now is priceless!
What have you learned from your time at SPT?

In order to be the best, you have to surround yourself with the best. Our teams at Sheridan PT and Buffalo PT are simply the best!
Why did you choose to work as a physical therapist?

When I was 10 years old, I attended one of my grandma’s physical therapy sessions following her Total Knee Replacement. Right then I said I was going to grow up and be a physical therapist. I never really grew up, but I did become a physical therapist.
Why did you choose Sheridanas a town in which to practice?

On a trip through Sheridan in 1994, my wife Kati and I fell in love with this community. I was on break from graduate school at Pacific University. We loved it so much that 3 days after graduating, we moved to Sheridan. Besides marrying Kati, it was the best decision EVER!
Do you plan to stay here?

We live in the best country, best state, and best town in America! I will never leave Sheridan. It is my home!
