Dogs and cats are great, aren’t they? The ancient Egyptians used to worship the latter, and those guys invented breath mints so you know they were onto something. Plus, dogs have been man’s best friend for centuries. But, you know what’s just as good as these two? Beer. Blacktooth Brewing Company and the Dog and Cat Shelter found a way to beautifully marry these two wonderful things.

Blacktooth has hosted the Growlers 4 Growlers event, wherein Sheridanites can come and buy bratwurst and delicious beer to support the animals at the shelter, for the last few years. Said Executive Director Debie Crawford, “We’re very grateful for (Blacktooth’s) support, allowing us to use their building and providing the growlers… So we’re here to accept money that’s essential for us to keep the lights on and keep saving animals and express our absolute gratitude to Blacktooth Brewing Company.” Jesse Woods of Blacktooth presented the Dog and Cat Shelter with a check for $305.
If you want to help support the Shelter, bring your furry friend to Pet-O-Ween on October 29th! It not only serves as a fundraiser, but awards are given out for best costumes.
