WYO Thai Food Presents: First Annual Spicy Challenge

~CONTENT POWERED BY ANTELOPE BUTTE FOUNDATION~

Have you ever given to charity and thought, “You know, I love helping people in need, but I wish this hurt more?” Well, lucky you! Fine food practitioners Jack and Heidi Cherachat of WYO Thai Food have come up with just the thing.

Sheridan has a proud history of philanthropy; we’re a community that loves to rally behind a worthy cause, often with great results. Mix that in with some heat and home style Thai family cooking and you’ve got the First Annual Spicy Challenge: contestants pay a $20 entry fee to engage in a positively piquant promenade. That last word doesn’t really make sense, but the alliterations sounds nice so we’re keeping it. You’ll partake in small portions of dishes of increasing intensity, after each round being unable to cough, cry, or drink anything lest you face disqualification, and the winner will be crowned the Spice Champion! Or something. We don’t know if that’s an official title, but you could definitely call yourself that and not many people could argue with you.

Proceeds go to Sheridan-based charity The Food Group, so you’ll be eating painful but nonetheless delicious food while supporting a good cause! Finally, something to fulfill that altruistic masochistic streak in you. The Spicy Challenge will be held at Blacktooth Brewery at 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 13th. Contact Heidi at wyothaifood@gmail.com, 307-752-2029 or stop by the Wyo Thai Food truck to sign up!
