That’s a Mouthful, Ain’t It?

Wild and Wooly Show Mitch, J.T., Dave, and Will, from left to right

Mitch Craft, and his brothers J.T. and “Dirty Dave,” are well known around the Sheridan area, but especially by name(s) of their family band, the Craft Brothers, AKA The Three Toos (Too Much, Too Thin, and Too Short), AKA The Carhart Brothers. The trio has been performing locally with their stage act The Wild and Wooly Show, for twenty years, and they’re celebrating the occasion for the next few weeks with a special anniversary show, their “tenth-ish.” The Craft family is exceedingly fun, funny and talented, and they’re excited to put on a fun, funny show with great music. When they’re together, they’re always firing on all cylinders. They’re exciting to watch, and hilarious to boot.

This year, they’ll be joined by their long-time comrade Douglas Andrews, known as “Duck,” “Dog,” “Derg,” and even “Dork,” if you ask a Starbucks Barista. He said that they frequently get his name wrong, and is mildly suspicious that they do it on purpose sometimes. Doug is a Sheridan native, but he’s also lived in Vienna Austria, and more recently, Hamburg Germany. Mitch, whose age is “unverified,” is kind of the frontman of the group, although all four core members are full of personality and talent. He’s the principal of Sheridan Junior High school, and he shreds the violin. “Dirty Dave,” 36, is the general manager at CraftCo Metals Services. And honestly, that’s pretty metal. J.T., the youngest Craft Brother at 34, (For you math wizzes, that means they started when he was 14) a hearing aid specialist, is the group’s lead singer. These four local legends will also be joined by a smattering of Craftlets, eight total, including the multi talented Will Craft, age 15. They’re very excited to share the Wild and Wooly Show with the next generation, and they expect the show to be a lot of fun for all involved.

According to our sources, there “may or may not, but definitely will be” a bearded lady, and the meat sweats are rumoured to be making an appearance. (For those of you who have never eaten enough meat that it physically caused you to sweat, you’ll find out what they are at the show). If you’ve seen the Brothers before, you’ll be delighted to know that for the special anniversary show they’re bringing back “some of the favorite tunes and gags from the last 20 years, as well as several tasty new numbers.” Not only that, but they’ll be joined by special guests The Carhartt Brothers as well as The Three Toos. The Wild and Wolly Show is at the WYO theater, of course, and tickets are on sale now at the box and online, at http://wyotheater.com/ for $24. The dates are the 6th at 6:30 and 9:00, and the 13th, and the 14th of July at 7:00, conveniently on either side of Sheridan WYO Rodeo week. Finally, we’ve got a sweet little sneak peek below, to help you get psyched for the show.
